Default 2.4L Stroker Turbo S2000

Built this over the last year. It's been a fun build. I originally studded the engine in preparation to boost it for my buddy but instead of going 3-4 he went 3-2 and 14,000rpm later the engine was locked up and in need of a rebuild. The crank was trashed and the bores distorted so we did some research and decided to stroke it. We purchased a TSX 99mm crankshaft, had the oil holes chamfered and put thin iron sleeves in the block to fix the distortion. From top to bottom here is what we did:

Engine:
Stock Cams
Stock Ports
Brian Crower Stock Size Stainless Steel Valves
ARP Head Studs
OE Head Gasket
H22 Pistons 9.3:1
K1 2.4L Stroker Rods
OEM Honda Bearings
OEM Honda Timing Set
OEM Honda Oil Pump and Oil Cooler
99mm TSX Crankshaft with modified oil holes
Stock IM and TB
Oil Squirters Plugged

Turbo Setup:
Precision 5031E
Unknown Top Mount Turbo Manifold
FatFab custom downpipe and dump pipe
TiAl 60mm Wastegate
Full Race oil feed kit with 90 degree upper fitting to clear hood
GodSpeed Intercooler Piping customized for top mount
31" eBay Intercooler
Greddy Type-S BOV
Allstar Performance Vented Catch Can
Custom Intake w/Spectre Filter

Fuel and Electronics:
Innovate MTX-L Wideband Gauge
Innovate G2 Boost Gauge
AEM EMS V2
AEM Electronic Boost Controller
AEM 320LPH E85 safe Fuel Pump
Autometer Fuel Pressure Gauge
Drilled and Tapped fuel rail for gauge
Deastchwerks 1300cc injectors
AEM adjustable FPR

Its just at 10psi on a quick E85 street tune and it lights up around 3000 I believe. It's a torque monster. Dyno is this weekend I believe. I am not tuning it, Blevins Tuning is, so I'm not sure when the dyno is. The turbo is getting switched to a BB 6262 probably this winter. Only reason we have the 5031 is because we got it, the TiAL, the Greddy BOV, intercooler, turbo manifold and some random piping for like 900 off craigslist haha. Figured we'd run it until we switched to a more optimal turbo.

This must be the S Adam was asking me about the crank pulley marks on and timing it in on the AEM.

Nice build. why did you plug the oil squirters?

Yeah, when Inline Pro builds my engine, I'm making sure they keep the squirters. Honda put them there for a reason and we all know what happened to the first S's with the low flowing squirters. Only reason I could even see not running the squirters is to up the oil pressure due to running more loose tolerances on the bearings but we have now learned that looser tolerances don't really seem to be needed with big boost on these engines. Look at all the 500+ whp S's out there on the stock blocks and the F2x engine tolerances are extremely tight.

exactly why i plugged them. the added oil pressure at 10,5000 is appreciated

For our application you either have to bend the squirters which defeats their purpose or notch the piston which is bad for the skirt. Any motor properly built with 2618 forged pistons absolutely does not need squirters. If they fit, sure use them but if they don't, plug them and absolutely nothing bad will come of it. Now if your building a engine with cast pistons or 4032 forged pistons I believe they are still needed. Ive seen the power differences of SR20DET and 4g63 running cast pistons with and without oil squirters. Theres an obvious difference in durability where the oil squirters show better results. A 2618 forged engine however won't care either way regardless of rpm and hp simply put.

Thats what my engine builder told me in a nutshell as well, that if your running Forged pistons (CP in my case) that the oil squirters arent needed and dont fit anyway.
