Hows the "Ballade clutch" holding up.... i read about the chatter and weird grab! I bought the same clutch for my CT supercharged S and had them install it as well. I was at 300whp and after 6 months, (mid pull in 2nd) it blew up on me! I dont launch the car and its only street driven. I tried to take it back to Ballade but they refused to give me a refund on it and instead offered me a used baffle oil pan.... I gave up and took the pan just to find out the baffle was welded wrong and does NOT fit!!! They refused to take that back as well.

I learned no-name parts like these are china parts... the pressure plate was broken in multiple spots (very cheap)!

Went with a ACT and OEM disc and never looked back...

hmm ya idk I have atleast 3.6k on it. Was yours the TC clutch or SC clutch either way it shouldnt have done what your describing.

That suxx. Either I just acclimated to it or its stopped. Once in awhile ill mix up my friction zone sweet spot for stop n go and it will kinda show its face again, but its actually gotten better. Stills buzzes every day tho.

What did the fingers look like when you pulled it? a broken pressure plate sounds like it had alot of pressure in uneven spots.

Ya it had multiple broken fingers and as the new clutch was going in they noticed the crank had play in it. I had them replace the thrust washers and im glad i did because they were seriously worn!!! I have them sitting in my room right now. The shop also found a retaining clip, i believe its called, when building my head that was dropped and left in my motor when Ballade did dual valve springs. I guess i got lucky it fell in just the right spot!

That's not going to work. The hybrid single scroll kit is for the Evo 8-9 which uses a reverse rotation whereas the SOS kit is based on the Evo X turbo which is standard rotation. The flanges are basically mirrors of each other.

Ah, that's right... it was designed to use the flange for the reverse rotation and change the flow path for use with regular rotation. It'll be interesting to see if it packages because from looking at the pictures of the SOS kits, it's very tightly packaged. Well, I wish you luck!
