WOT determination
#3
If you are FI, then you definitely want to use MAP to determine WOT, but the Honda uses TPS and RPM by default. I've tried both with my NA setup, and think there are advantages to each. If you are NA and drive your car across a significant range of altitudes, then you should definitely use TPS instead of MAP. The reason is that the resonance of the intake has a much bigger effect when the throttle is fully open, so even though MAP might be almost exactly the same at 50% vs 100% at 3K RPMs, there is a significant difference in fuel requirement.

thanks for your replies.
i am NA. unfortunately my first calibration has been done according to MAP.
should the calibration (fuel, iginiton values etc.) be revised if i simply switch from MAP to TPS?
what do you advise?

i have looked at flashpro map. your tune is based on rpm and map. X rpm at X load <map> determines timing and fuel and then the long and short term trims kick in. tps is used for other stuff. just cause your not boosted doesnt mean there isnt a fluctuation in load<map>. NA s2k will range between -12 to 0 psi. hope that helps.

FlashPro manager indicates that the default value for "Use MAP to determine WOT" is unchecked. If you right click on the check box, and select "Reset to default", the box will be unchecked. If you check the value, so that it will use MAP to determine WOT, then a yellow indicator will appear next to it, which indicates that it is NOT default.

It seems that you might be talking about something different. Obviiously, the "tune" uses MAP and RPM to determine fuel and timing. However, that doesn't mean that MAP and RPM are the determining factor for open / closed loop. I believe the OEM factory tune uses TPS and RPM to switch between open and closed loop.
