if the jdm s2k is anything like a jdm DC2 the pinouts are very different in the ecu and you not be able to get any us code scanners to work through your obd port, now i could be wrong and this is just based on my experience with my previous car which was a jdm dc2. it could be a bad connection so you might want to double check those and visibly see metal to metal contact.

I managed to get this resolved with the help of chris barry a member on here. The fuel pump and air pump pins are different on the JDM ecus vs USDM and had my sparky modify the harness slightly to get the vafc2 to work and now all is fine

I plan to get it tuned on the dyno and do it properly as I dont have a wide band sensor or experience to confidently perform my own tuning.
