VAFC vs VAFC II
Hello guys. After searching around, I know the differences between VAFC and VAFC II, but I am curious as to how much better and noticeable these extra tuning abilities are between the two generations. I currently have an intake, test pipe, and catback exhaust, and could be getting a pretty good deal on a VAFC (~$100). Was just looking for some opinions regarding the original VAFC and if it would be worth it if it's $100-150 less expensive than the VAFC II?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Neither one is worth running compared to the latest NEO. The problem with the previous first two gens is their lack of ability to control vtec by throttle opening/%. So if you set vtec down low where its actually useful in picking up mid range power, you end up being in vtec all the time, which sucks for mpg and power/efficiency. The Neo will set vtec by rpm and throttle position both, allowing you full separation and control. The difference between the 1 & 2 is nothing but how many correction points in the fuel table. The first gen has less, meaning less ability to fine tune your fuel curve. But again I wouldn't bother with either gen, just get the NEO, and also make sure you get a pnp harness. Spend the extra money to save yourself some big headaches not only in install but future trouble shooting or wiring mishaps. These units aren't worth hacking up your cars engine harness for.

Oh really? I was confused, I thought the NEO just had cool lighting and background colors and still had the same abilities as the VAFC II... Hm seems I have more research to do!
Are there any other feasible options for AP1s in the same price range? I would prefer to not dish out the cash for an E-Manage or standalone when decent gains be had with the VAFC and staying N/A.
