Software Dyno for FlashPro users (and maybe KPro)
#13
I have no idea how well it will work on a Mac. It will depend mostly on whether a Mac will run VBA.
Would you send me your datalog from the dyno? I don't expect the numbers to line up with your dyno datalog AT ALL, since the accelleration rate on the dyno will be VERY different from a 3rd gear pull on the street. However, I would expect the shape to line up very well.
I'll send my email address via PM.

b.r.i.a.n. do you have nothing better to do but go around poo pooing on peoples work on electronic torque graphing software. This software is accurate enough to show power gained from correcting afr's, adding or taking away modifications and correcting cam angles. It is not accurate enough for ignition maps though. So YES ABSOLUTELY it has a place in the tuning arena for people, and to ever say otherwise, you sound like an idiot.
a dyno is a repeatable environment, this isn't. But that doesn't mean it's worthless either.
FYI, my buddy is getting his civic dyno tuned. Currently all it's running is a map that vit made...
We'll see how much the dyno picks up. I'm not expecting more than 2-3 whp...

BTW, I'm only aware of one other software dyno out there, and that's the "Infamous eDyno". The Infamous eDyno is definitely VERY nice, but it has different pros / cons compared to my soft dyno. Are there any others?

I uploaded an updated Soft Dyno.zip file that technically "works" with a KPro datalog. However, the KPro datalog that was sent to me has far too few data samples for a usefull curve. I had to reduce smoothing ALL THE WAY to even see the plot, and it was all over the place. I also had to disable the SAE Correction check box (New addition), since the MAP seemed to be in BAR instead of mBAR, and IAT was in Celcius. To make this work well with KPro, the AFR values also need to be converted to AFR instead of Lambda.

like i said before i street tune often. does it work? yes. is it going to be perfect? no. you're relying on the oem wideband and you don't know if it's off or not. and you're guesstimating the ignition timing.
we've already gone over this.
