I have a 2004. Is a tune necessary if I have an air intake, header, high flow cat, and Greddy Spectrum Elite?
Will it be worth the money? Will there be gains to justify the price of the EMS + tune?
Thanks.

Now the question is, Hondata K-Pro or AEM EMS V.2?
I know I could save up a little more for FI, but I want my car to last like today's feature story on the homepage. 250K miles... I currently have 22,600.

the Hondata is more expensive and more involved when it come to install....but the will more than likely pass emissions..Hondata will also be less involved when it comes to tuning
The AEM EMS will be cheaper on initial cost....tuning will be a little more involved since the base maps are not that great and the "drivability"needs to have more effort put into it. and emissions compliance is not really there.
as far as ultimate power gains...there really wouldn't be a difference.....as long as you have a good tuner.
I personally have the AEM v2 on my 02 and love it....we have tuned both though...both NA and FI on both systems

i agree that the ems is the best mod you can do. there's another ems option out there other than aem and hondata. haltech has released a patch harness to make their platinum 1000 plug-n-play with the ap1.

I am not too sure on Haltech pricing...but I will look into it, we have tuned the Platinum 1000 for another shop on a 350z and it seemed to be a pretty decent set up.
