sorry for the very noob question:
Are all "black anodized" AEM EMS the "series two" or did they have some earlier models anodized black? I've been searching around but cant find any info on the topic/pictures...

alright, now that I'm pretty committed to buying this..can someone point me to a AEM EMS faq? Whats the big difference between the series 1 and 2? Every thread I read is about the series 2 - I wonder how much of the info I'm getting actually corresponds to the series 1.
I read something about the coolant temp sensor working on the s2 - and the s1 needing a modifry fix..

I'd hold off on buying a series 1 and just buy a series 2. There is a host of reasons to use a series two. With the hardware updating and the AEMtuner software it's easy to create a superior tune. The O2 feedback and knock control is worthy of relying on in real time instead of using as a safety net at best with the series 1.I've been doing this type of work since 2003 and of all the ECU's I tune the series 2 is as good as it gets currently.
