you'll need to compare the wiring diagram from the 1050 to the 1052, there are a couple of wires that will need to be moved.

Off the top of my head, Coil #1 has to be moved, You will have to swap the cam sensors, the 1050 reads the opposite sensor from the 1052. it will work as is, but the ign and injector phase will be way off.

The knock sensor will be on knock 2.

there were one or 2 others but I cant remember.

If you have problems with hot starts you will need to increase the resistance on the pull up resistors for the cam/crank sensors. You'll have to call aem and ask exactly which resistors to change, I cant find my notes from when I modified mine. I added about 1k ohms to what was in there.. that just makes the signal from the sensors stronger at lower rpms.

If you check the internal circuits of the 1050, you'll see that there is continuity between all pins that are moved. For example coil1 on 1050 is on c4 and on 1052 is on b12. However, there is no need to move wires as c4 and b12 are connected inside the ECU (there is continuity). The same apply for fuel pump, vss etc. Indeed, only the cam sensor is on different locations, I swapped wires and tried to start the car. I get no 'stat sync'd' though, although I read rpm. Thanks!

what i said before is pretty much all you have to do.

If you cant compare 2 pinouts and figure that much out then you probably need to take the car to a shop/tuner and have it done.

resistor 2 and 4 may need to be changed. If you call up aem they will tell you. I think I used 4.7k ohm resistors. The 1050 comes with 1k.

and like gzob said, you will find continuity between some of the pins that are different from the 1050 to the 1052. You'll have to get a ohm meter and check them to see which ones will need to be moved.

Wadzii so just change the resisters from the cam and crank sensor? And then switch the wires around in the car harness? would you be able to pm me a more detailed explaination?
