would you rather buy lucid rear panel speakers or go without? I don't have the money for spods right now, and was wondering what everyone thought about the lucid's

I would go without and save up for S-pods. Lucid's, I have heard, are muffled because they are behind the seat. I would not want to "settle" for anything on my system, because then I would always be thinking "I could have had better."

I have the rear speakers and love them, not muffled at all. I think the S-Pods sit way to close to your head. You'll be very hard pressed to get them to sound properly that close to your head...

Rear speakers behind the seats are definately better than none at all. They are muffled compared to S-Pods, but if you use 5.25 speakers...you can always upgrade when funds allow. (I've done direct comparison test's.)
Only people who have not yet heard S-Pods in person think they are too close to your head. If you ever get a chance to listen to someone's S-Pods in person, I think you'll be amazed at the differance compared to behind the seats.
