Default window rubbing after speaker install

NEED HELP!!!

Just installed CDT CL61 with lucid's spacers. The window doesn't rub on the all the way down position. But when I raise the window, the last 2-3 inches the window bubbs against something. I can hear the squeal and the door pannel flex a little. How can I fix this?

How deep are your speakers? I've got some really deep speakers and haven't had any problems (the panel even bluges just a bit). Even used Lucids extra deep mounting kit. Perhaps when the door panel was replaced, something shifted and is pressing up against the sheet metal (althought I'm not sure what, if anything could move like that). However, there might be just enough deflection to cause something to rub against the glass.

If you have the door panel off, you should be able to look down the window and maybe see what is rubbing up against the glass. Maybe you'll see something as you run the window up and down. As a last resort, perhaps you could try adjusting the glass guides. There should be some bolts that move the guides around, allowing you to fine tune the glass placement. However, I'm not sure what secondary problems this might cause, like leaks around the window during a rainstorm.

The mounting depth on those is 2 7/8", one reason I didn't go with them is that when I measured from the adapters to the glass I came up with something like 2 7/16" being as deep as I could go.

Weird...my mid has a mounting depth of just under 3" and hasn't given me any problems when used in conjunction with the Lucid adapter

Does this happen with both windows. Sounds like it's something else not the speaker since you mentioned it only rubs when raising up the last couple inches. By that time the glass has already cleared the speaker. Take the door pannel off and see what's happening in there.
