Got everything hooked up today and it sounds awesome. A million times better now!!! I actually have some bass now and can hear music with the top down. With the top up it can really be painful if turned up loud.
I am soo happy with my selection and it really just sounds incredible.
For some reason the Eclipse head unit won't play most cd's. I don't know if it is the security feature it has or what. But has only played about 3 cd's out of 10 or more attempted. Any ideas?
Also the installer did not use the battery terminals I had bought, said he didn't need them. Thought they were needed.
He also mounted the tweeters inside the door in the same location as the speakers. Any problems in doing this? I haven't noticed that done before.

Don't know about the tweeters. If he angled them towards your ear I think you will be ok. Might make the sound stage a little low (EJs chime in please). Battery terminals, not a big deal. I just use a wire loop connector (don't know the true name for it). Never owned Eclipse so I can't comment on it.

How do you like the amp?

Now post some pics!

I'm not sure how he managed to connect to the battery if he didn't use any terminals, but...I'd have to see pics to tell if it's right or wrong.

The tweeters most definitely need to be placed higher. The high frequencies reproduced by the tweeters do not travel long distances well (this is why most installs have the tweeters in the A-pillar or upper door).
