What's a rear speaker harness? OEM vs Aftermarket?

1) What's the purpose of the harness?
2) On Lucid's speaker website, there's the choice of OEM harness ($50) or Aftermarket ($0). What are the pros/cons of getting the OEM vs aftermarket harness?

OEM harnesses allows your year specific S2000's deck to have rear speakers. The radio is designed for rears (its used in other hondas) but the S2000 lacks any interface for them thus the need for this harness.
On the site the options are such that if you have an aftermarket deck you do not need the OEM harness, you connect the rear lines when you wire together it's harness. That is why it's at $0 no additional cost.
