yup, i'm interested in what you find as well.

as i mentioned earlier , something else seems to be playing into the situation beyond just the obvious.

Now when I had the 9855, I tried numerous things including not connecting the remote input, not connecting the ipod cable, not connecting the xm radio module, etc. I still had the problem just connecting the harness. I verified the wiring diagrams and both were identical.
thanks for the confirmation Keith. that helps eliminate a number of potential problems.
