Weird result for iPod Adapter

Will do. Few things going in my favor.
Friendly Forces: Great mechanic. My son just bought a CR ie see what his radio plug is!
Resources: cleaned and waxed car, don’t need no stinking radio/MP3 to look good or feel good Cruzin the roads. Time: mechanic is out of town, vacation. Weather: perfectly cool sunny Memphis week coming up. Memphis in May festival still in progress. To many good things to mention them all.

That splitter still won't work with the radio you have. The plug is still different as well as the bus used for data.the earlier radio only has changer control, which means any adapter for it is just piping audio in as a changer.
The newer Honda radios have xm capabilities which has data to show the sound info and more control.
Either get a non Honda ipod adapter or an ap2 radio. The adapter for your radio will have this plug.(the blue one, ignore the other end.)

Thanks,
I think the AP2 radio is the key. But how many ‘types’ of AP2 radios are there?
My sons CR is away right now but the plan is to use his radio as a guide for my AP2 radio purchase.
Thanks for the help.

That I don't know. Just look for the right plug on the back

i would also recommend an aftermarket radio if you can't find an ap2 radio for less than $100 or so. better in every way and you can keep your dash control. i realize you may want to stay oem but its a night and day difference in the sound alone, not to mention proper integration of your ipod.

you can get a decent head unit for $100-125 and depending on your level of comfort you can get the parts for $50-$100. if you want a truly plug and play get a modifry DCI that will simply plug in to the car and radio and it all just works.

you buy adapters….I was lead to believe there are no adapters!
Emailed Bob at Modifry and he said he didn’t know of any adapter?
Do you know of an adapter? Part number, anything? If I could buy one that’s an easy fix.
