Warning buzzer when lights still on?
This morning I walked back from the car at the carpark at work.
Lucky for me I looked back (yeah.. I like my S2000) and noticed the HID lights still on! I went back to switch them off and was hoping to hear a buzzer, warning me the lights were still on without the engine running as soon as the door opened.
No such thing.
Is it broken or is it not there?
I am at work now without manual present.
I've done a search in here for "buzzer"and "beeper" with no luck.
Thanks

yes, the S2000 makes a beeping sound when you open the door with the lights on. But AFAIK only when the engine is not running (or when the key is out of ignition?)

This afternoon when I got home I tested it > It beeps
But I'm sure it didn't beep this morning opening the door to put lights out.
Weird.
I hope there is no "secret sequence" that will make the beeper not beep or it is a timer like xviper said.
I will try several things this weekend and post back if i find something.
(I was top down this morning.. hope that has nothing to do with it)
Say mbvt.. should we continue in Dutch?
We'll be able to talk about xviper

Backed into parking spot.
Pulled hand brake to close top.
Closed top & windows.
Clutch in to select 1st gear.
Shut off engine & took key out.
Clutch out.
Hand brake off.
Opened door.
Lights still on.
NO BEEP!
Tried several sequences > NO beep.
There are not enough to show how I am.

I've given up on this !%@$#@& beeper.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I can't find a reason for it, I'll just have to live with it I guess.
note to self : make sure to switch off lights before getting out of car!
How about with the hand brake applied?

Just a question - you park with the handbrake off? Lots of interresting events have taken place when owners have not use the handbrake when leaving thier cars parked somewhere - I'm one of them! I'll try your sequence later today and see if my '05 does the same thing.
