Unused rear speaker wires?
Since the stock radio in my '02 has a fader control and rear speakers are a common upgrade in our cars, I'm curious as to which wires in the stock harness are intended for rear speakers.
I've poured through the audio FAQ's this evening and haven't found the answer. I finally located a wiring diagram online but it only refers to the front door and tweeter speakers.
I am installing a Kenwood wOOx powered sub using a speaker level input and was hoping to use the rear speaker wires. Can anyone identify them for me?
Thanks a lot. I hate to ask a basic info question like this, but I really did search and read. Either missed or couldn't find what I was looking for.

"the adapter"? What adapter?
I'm just looking to tap into the speaker wires to run signal to the powered sub.
The one schematic I found only shows wiring for front speakers in the harness. I suppose I'll just use those, but I thought we'd have rear wires (unused) in the harness as well.

Actually, no you don't. The radio does indeed have 2 rear channels of amplification (if you can call it that -- more like screech enhancement... but I digress) but the connector does not have any pins in it for these wires. The information is around here somewhere. It's just a matter of finding it. Maybe one of the regulars will take pity or I can look for it when I get some time.
BTW, the AP2 radios actually have wires and pins in the connector and the wires are just stuffed into the harness. You, however, don;t have that in an AP1.

I figured it out. Just tapped into the front speaker wiring for signal to the sub. There are no rear speakers wires in my AP1, although the head unit has fader controls for future upgrades.
The adaptor mentioned above is obviously intended to provide rear wriring for installing a/m rear speakers as an option.
The sub works great, btw.
