Thanks Modifry !!
I just put in your 'Garage Door Opener' and your 'Shift Beeper'.
Great instructions, they work like a charm, and these mods Amaze my friends.
You are very creative, and an asset to this community.
Thanks again.

Modifry,
I don't mean to rain on a parade, but I've gone through two openers. i've got an "overhead" (name brand) garage door opener system and i seem to be burning the remotes out. they work flawlessly for about a month amd then cease to function. I've checked all the wiring, and it seems perfect. as a matter of fact the garage door opener, the main unit with a chain etc., registers when the remote is activated. It's LED flashes quickly when the brightes are engaged. However the door does not open. I go through the programming protocol, but the main unit refuses to register the attached remote that had previously worked. it will register my other remotes.
Has anyone else had this problem?
short of re-installing a new remote unit under the hood every month, what can be done to fix it?

Beats me. The fact that the garage opener blinks means the remote is transmitting, so it's not completely dead. But it sure is odd that the opener sees it but won't accept the code. Very strange. I really don't know what to suggest.
