Sub in the boot or Kick Well

Sub in the boot or Kick Well
Hi can anyone help am thinking about putting a system in my car and looking on this site I see many people put there Subs in the boot. In doing that, would it not kill the bass? I was thinking of putting the Sub in the kick well any suggestions. Once again i need your help guys

Rodney, quite a few subs in the passenger footwell, though that's mainly a US thing, so they are on the wrong side. Have a search for "footwell" in this forum and you'll get a lot of info.
I have mine in the boot (that's the trunk for our american friends) and it works very well indeed. See my signature for photos. I'm not far from you, so you're welcome to have a listen if you wish.
A few people have small subs under the passenger seat too.

I've heard some really amazing trunk subs installed on a few local guys' cars, but am a fan of the footwell sub because I don't want to give up any trunk space. More info on the box/driver shown below can be found here. Before this I had a JVC CS-BB2 compact powered subwoofer installed under the driver seat but blew out the driver in about two months. It struggled to provide low frequency fill (no punch to speak of) and could not be heard at all with the top down.
