So today I got my footwell sub installed along with 2 jl amps.
My components are coming in tomorrow. I went with hybrid audio tech imagine l61-2.

Call me crazy but my front speakers sounded pretty good with a jl amp hooked too it. The audio guys thought that too. I bought my car used but I doubt the speakers were ever upgraded. We turned it up pretty loud and the highs was nice and clear. Anyone else?? Now, I'm debating if I should install the hat.

Sub reviews-overall better than I expected. Hardest part of the install was taking off this big styrofoam block under the carpet where the sub was gonna sit.

 

All I did was swap out the head unit with a USB/MP3 only player (no CD) with more power and it sounded a LOT better, so I'm not surprised. I was going to upgrade my speakers but now I'm not in a hurry =)

 

Where did you get the I61-2? I want to order them but get they are out of stock. Even HAT said Aug 1st they will supposedly have more???? What price did you pay for them?
