Thumbs up Stock Deck 4-Channel Power?

I see a hook up in the harness for front & rear speakers yet there are only door speakers with seperate tweeters (are these the rear channel)?

I am installing a Sony head unit with the wired dci adaptor and I just want to make sure of my speaker hook ups. I thought the front seperates were all run off one channel.

The door speakers are run off the front channels on the head unit. The rear channels can be used to drive rear panel or headrest speakers, such as the Honda accessory or S-Pods.

Having looked at the wiring diagram for OEM cars with stock tweeters, those tweeters are spliced into the main door speaker circuit and have nothing to do with the empty, unused "rear" channels. Using those rear channels for another set of speakers will effectively double the wattage output to the stock sound system.

Thanks guys!!
So where do the rear speaker leads go? Is there wiring termination that goes to the rear deck? I would love to add another pair of speakers in a factory location if there is one.

The rear speaker leads terminate in a plug behind the radio. It can be accessed from the driver side panel on the side of the center console. Take a look at the installation instructions for the factory headrest speakers (specifically step 55). A PDF can be found at:

There are other options for adding speakers as well.
