Speaker WIres Behind the seats
After reading through all thee posts in this section I still do not have a definative answer regarding whether or not there are speaker wires behind the rear seats of my 2004 S. I am planning on doing some headreat speakers this weekend and need to know if I am going to have to run wires or not from my stock headunit.

'04-'05 should be wired for headrest speakers. Earlier models weren't, and later models had the roll hoop speakers as a stock configuration.
That said, I don't know why you would spend the money on OEM headrest speakers when you could do so much better with aftermarket gear for the same amount.

I believe the rear speaker wires in an '04 are terminated by the driver's
right knee, not behind the seats.
Here are the installation instructions for the factory headrest speakers -
step #56 will show you where the rear speaker connectors are located.
You'll need to run speaker wire back from the connectors to your rear
speakers.
