Hello,
I wanted to install a new speaker set and rear speakers for my S2000. Whenever I turn the sound up with my top down in my S2000, my stock speakers gets distorted b/c it cannot handle the db. So I think that getting new speakers would be the most inexpensive option.
I have checked out Lucid's website and saw a lot of options to choose from! What I want is low cost, turning the sound up (perhaps all the way with OEM head system) and speakers not getting distorted, and no amplifier or any other unit installation required.
So which door speakers and rear speaker set should I get? Or should I get a rear speaker at all? Oh, whats the difference between 3 way and 2 way speakers?
Thanks in advance!

Exactly, with rears you won't have to turn up the radio all the way. 2 way speakers have 2 drivers - an tweeter and a woofer. A 3 way adds a midrange driver.
Any selection would be a fine choice. With a 2002 I'd advise to add rears first before considering changing the door speakers.

I can vouch for the difference due to adding just rear speakers to the stock head. I also upgraded the fronts for improved clarity, and am very happy with the result.
I can also vouch for the quality of lucid's stuff - the installation instructions were excellent! It was one of the easiest stereo upgrades I've ever done.
