Default Something happened to my alarm...

I dont know how/why it happened, but it just did. I have an after market clifford alarm, and just recently it will not arm/disarm my car. When I click the button, all it does is lock/unlock my car, but doesnt actually trigger the alarm. I looked at my alarm LED light, and instead of blinking red when its armed, and off when its disarmed, it just stays a solid red.

I don't know what going on...

valet mode. on viper alarms (all are made by DEI) it consists of putting the key in the ignition, turning the key to the on position, back off and hitting the valet button (I believe that is the sequence, I can double check the manual when I get to my toolbox tomorrow.)

from cliffords site.

Remote Valet
Where's the Valet switch? Locked away in the glove box! Open the vehicle's door and get in and out of Valet by pressing 1-2-1 on your remote. Remote Valet turns security off but leaves convenience on. You can turn off the system for servicing or valet parking directly from the remote control. Convenience by remote control: No more reaching for a switch installed in the vehicle.

BUT try what I said in the first post.

I bought the car with the alarm, so I looked, but I can not find the valet switch.

And what do you mean by "pressing 1-2-1 on your remote"??

that is what I saw on their website. I assume it means lock unlock lock. find the alarm brain and the valet should be attached somewhere. Just follow it.

That sequence is standard for a lot of DEI alarms as well.

find the little black button. the wire colors are traced by black and grey. put your key to the ON position, then take the key out. within 5 seconds press the valet button once and the led light should be off. then your set.
