Got my wire run thanks to the tips in this thread. Used a coat hanger snake and some silicone lube. The trickiest part was working the snake through the harness from the door to the kick panels. Thank goodness my daughter helped. Her little hands could rwach into spaces that were a pain for me.

Lubricating must certainly help. Once the wire was started into the harness on pull back it fed through very easily.

Thanks to all who posted.

(My new amped Diamond Audios sound awesome, btw.)

Sorry to be bumping this but I feel it's justified.

I was struggling with the darn driver's side door grommet for 3 hours before giving in and buying the wire lubricator (silicone). O boy.... night and day. This job is close to impossible with the lubricant (TWSS ). This and a wire hanger is all one needs.

The lubricant also greatly helps to put the grommets back into their slots.

I found running wires super easy. I pulled the plug out and untapped both ends and pushed the wire through and was done in about 15 seconds. The plug that runs between the door and chassis is very loose so pushing the wire through is very easy.

No coat hanger, snake, lube, nothing.

Its all in practice. After doing dozens of s2ks, I can snake a wire in under 45 seconds per door. My car, which was my first car, damn near took an hour per door, a pack of cigarettes, 956 swear words, and 45 points in blood pressure.
