thank u on sub comment. yes its not 4 everyone but i started with a 6.5 and that led to 2 -8inch subs! who wouldve known. yes ive seen it done but not like this (hidden and u can still use the deflector). on the hoops i just purchased them used and mounted them. i did cut the actual hoops in a spot so that way i didnt have 2 fish thru the seat belts. i got lazy and did not want to remove the seats. i just have 2 find a way to not use the zip tie. im going to get rid of it today and see how it goes. it might be ok because its still being held together where the compartment goes.

no, u unscrew the oem tweeters and then u just trim lightly until kicker tweeters just snugly go in. if u mean i cut the hoops to install on the roll bars then only if u dont want to remove the seats. the oem hoops u have to just pull apart because there's a tiny metal piece holding the hoops together. its easy!

Weird, my 01 doesnt have the tweeters, guess they didnt come with that year model. Like no slots or anything. Ill probably have to find the hoops off a newer one and install. Angry that mine doesnt have those haha

It's only 06+ that comes with these.
OP, I like the idea... I don't really like the grille on top, especially the fact that it's not clean cut to match. If it looked like more of a factory option, I think it would definitely be . I still don't think it's necessary to throw a sub in the car though, but as you said, personal preference!

i have another top untouched by me, yet that i can slap on to see how it'll sound. the lower sub has nothing in front of it other than the hoops and rear bulkhead but at least its able to breathe. thats why i added a hole, for the top sub to breathe. it'll sound too muffled but i can only try it right? the reason why i did this is to see if i could and at the same time hide it all under the covers and keep the deflector to do it's job. i have no regrets on the time/money spent on this because i'm very very happy with it. i did think of a 10 in there instead but i think it's maxed out with the 2-8's.
