I just got this same sub setup yesterday. He may have put his amp where I put mine - I moved my amp to where my spare tire USED to be (and added a separate amp for the sub under the driver's seat). No spare now. Hello AAA and run flat spray.

yo wats up everyone . i wanted to put some subs but i wasn sure wat size to put . i dont want alot of bass i just want want a lil so the music sounds good , wats a good size ?

Headunit: Alpine CDA-9831
Amplifier: Rockford Fosgate 201s
Speakers: Polk Db650
Wiring: Stinger Pro Series.
Other: Modifry DCI to keep dash controls
Headunit. If you look up in the vent you can see the DCI.

Wiring under hood

If you remove the tray, there is plenty of airspace, even more cool air getting to it b/c you have the A/C air reaching the area when the top is up. MAny people run amps without a problem in that area. Mine overheated a little, but then removed the tray and no more problems.
