Running wiring for AMP
I'm planning on an inexpensive upgrade to my stereo by installing a small amp and new door speakers. I'm considering Kenwood KFC-1668S 6 1/2" (which are direct replacments for our stock speakers) and a Profile California 100SX 35Wx2 Amp. I've replaced speakers and receivers before but I've never installed an amp or done much wiring in a car. My question is how difficult will it be to wire the receiver to the amp and the amp to the new speakers? Where do you suggest running the wires? Where would you suggest installing the amp in our car? Will it fit under the seat? Is it ok to use the speaker outputs from the factory receiver to send the signal to the amp? Does the factory receiver have a power antenna feed to use to turn the amp on and off? Also does anyone have any experience with either these speakers and amp and what is your opinion of them? Any help and advice would be appreciated.

ErikKlenke,
The installation you are doing is not that difficult. You need to run a power wire directly to the battery and put a fuse at the connection as well as at the amplifier. Try removing the battery and you can run the wires there. I believe most have done so without any additional drilling. Run the wire down that same side of the car and try to run the speaker wires down the other side. Your factory radio doesn
