I love the 9500ix much better! All my false alarms are reduced to zero on my way to work. The ride is so much quieter and when the radar does go off, it's definitely a real alert. The only thing I do miss is the arrows, but regardless, if the unit goes off, I slow down. Although it seems like the V1 picks up alerts much sooner, maybe it's because I use the 9500ix on auto mode. I'm going to try and keep it on highway mode the next couple of days which keeps the unit at the highest sensitivity level.

Pros: radar never heats up from the sun,
well hidden from unwanted attention,
Gps signal/ detection is exactly the same as a windshield mounted unit (Tested)
doesn't leave those ugly stains on the windshield from suction cups
No one gets to use the sunvisor mirror

Cons: passenger gets pissed when driving in direct sunlight/ can't put on make up

I see that you put a piece of paper right on top of the unit. Did you do that so the unit points straight out and not angled down? When I have it on the visor, it kind of points down more than it should straight out. I just have to add something on top of the visor to have it opened a little more than closed flush against the roof.

Also, when mounted to the visor, it's not leveled. I guess that's not really a problem?
