Replacing V1 Radar with ...
#22
I love the 9500ix much better! All my false alarms are reduced to zero on my way to work. The ride is so much quieter and when the radar does go off, it's definitely a real alert. The only thing I do miss is the arrows, but regardless, if the unit goes off, I slow down. Although it seems like the V1 picks up alerts much sooner, maybe it's because I use the 9500ix on auto mode. I'm going to try and keep it on highway mode the next couple of days which keeps the unit at the highest sensitivity level.

to answer any questions; the only inconvenience is that ladies can no longer use the sunvisor to put on makeup/ block sun,
Wire can not be seen and it looks like I have no radar detector (theft/cop avoidance?), also the gps signal gets acquired just as easy as on the windshield + I have a hardtop and the signal doesn't get affected at all.
Pros: radar never heats up from the sun,
well hidden from unwanted attention,
Gps signal/ detection is exactly the same as a windshield mounted unit (Tested)
doesn't leave those ugly stains on the windshield from suction cups
No one gets to use the sunvisor mirror
Cons: passenger gets pissed when driving in direct sunlight/ can't put on make up
