I just put in the Polk DB6501 components in the front door and they fit perfectly. Crutchfield said they wouldn't fit but others on the forum said they would and were right. 6.5's mounted right in the stock baskets and with the tweeters I used the stock brace and just a touch of glue for good measure. Paid $108 shipped for the whole system and its a noticeable improvement over stock

joshmiller1816, I too am looking into replacing my HU and door speakers. I did some shopping around yesterday and the following is what I tried out.
Speakers - Alpine 6 1/2" Component Car Speaker (SPS-600C). These things really sound nice, good mid/high range sound. Also looked into the Infinity Reference 6 1/2" 2-Way Component Car Speaker (6030CS). These in my opinion sounded better then the alpines, not by much but I found them to have a little more bass, nice mids and tweets.
Head Unit -Alpine MP3/WMA CD Car Deck With iPod Control (CDA-105). This is a very nice HU, lots of features on this baby, really nice. I had the guy hook everything up witch included 1 10 inch Alpine sub [ Alpine 10" Car Subwoofer (SWS-1043D) ] and a Alpine 4-Channel Car Amplifier (MRP-F300). Wow, what a nice sound, not earth sattering but a nice clean distortion free sound with excellent punch from the sub. I think I'm gonna go with the all alpine stereo, Going to cost me around $800-$900 for everything with the installation. Hope this helps and good luck with your stereo shopping. Keep us posted on how your doing. Cheers
