Default Replacing the SRS system

I had an accident and both airbags deployed. I'm trying to get my ride back on the road but I'm having some hard time understanding how the srs system functions. I got me a new pair of seatbelts and the airbags are on the way but I really don't know where to go from there. I've been doing some searching here on the board and I've found out that I need to replace the SRS unit which is located under the stock radio. The SRS unit can not be reset. What else should I replace before I plug in the new seatbelts and airbags.

Has anyone out there gone through this process and is willing to share his/her knowledge?

Thank you,
inner out.

I would recommend taking it to the dealer or a collision repair center - airbags can be very dangerous to work with if you do not know what you are doing
