Default Remote start.

Saw this on ebay..

Just wondering if there is a way to install Remote start on an s2000 or not. I havent seen it

it is i have it on my car. i have the clifford 1 mile radious remote start alarm.

i'd just like the remote entry/keyless start, but it seems like it would be quite a hassle to make that work.

Yes you can but please dont buy that piece of junk... It doesn't have to say s2000 on it.. any remote start will work.. just some work to get it to work with ALL of them..

I believe Compustar is the only company that recommends their remote start for use in a car with a manual transmission. It can be risky with others as the clutch safety switch is usually bypassed and if your car is left in gear you could send it into a wall, traffic, or anything else in its path upon starting it up. The Compustar alarms protect against that by forcing you to set it up for remote start when you leave the vehicle. Then if a door has been opened before you try and start it the remote start will be disabled.

DEI has there manual bypass out that will work with most of there RS systems as well.

i had that on my previous car and it does get annoying later on. but you can simply cut one wire from the brain unit to work like auto AS LONG AS YOU DON'T LEAVE TRANNY IN GEAR!!!!
