Default Recommend a 5 channel amp.

I'm still disappointed in my stereo system after adding polk EX365's in the front door and Lucid's 3 way Kenwood panels in the rear. The rear speakers added a great amount of fill but it is still not intelligible at any speed above 50mph. I will probably upgrade my headunit (Alpine 7995) and purchase a 5 channel amp to run it all but keep the speakers I have in the meantime. I'm looking at a JL 500/5 and an Alpine MRV-F450. Are there any others I should consider?

I have the JL 500/5, but I haven't had time to install it. If you have the money go with the JL, my past two JL amps have been amazing so I have no doubt that this one will too.

I'm running the Cadence Z6000 in my S2000 and I'm really pleased with it. It's actually a 5.1 channel DTS amp, but I'm just running in the doors, Lucid's behind the seats and a good sub in the trunk. Highly recommend it.

Gohiking,
Where did you buy the Cadence Z6000 and how much did you pick it up for?

You didn't mention a sub. If you don't have one, you don't need 5 channels.

I'm the Cadence Rep for Minnesota. It's amazing stuff, but not as widely available as some other brands. We have good distribution in Texas, you shouldn't have a problem finding it there.
