Default Rear pannel speakers

I just recently got my rear pannel speakers installed. After messing around with them, i go to press the mute button but only the door speakers muted. Any ideas on how to mute the rear pannel speakers

Guessing it is 2001 HU......

Did you use lucid rear speaker harness? The rear output on the OEM HU is not muted when you hit mute, this applies to the 2000-2001.

Lucid has a special harness for 2000-2001 ....

For the coin ($45+S/H) I would consider upgrading the HU.....
