Rear (Behind the seat) Speakers
My eyes are bleeding from reading through all the crap search results.
I don't want to cut any metal structure and I'm not interested in S-Pods.
I had kenwood KFC-XR601 <--(click link) speakers in my previous S2000 but I would like to try something with more mid bass if it's possible.
Budget doesn't matter
What are you using behind the seats and how was the install/fitment? Any suggestions/regrets?
Thanks in advance.

I had a pair or relativly cheap Kenwoods in the rear. I upgaded the OEM front speakers to Sony XS-V1630A's and liked the results so I decided to upgrade the rears to a matching 5.25 inch set with Sony XS-V1330A and only got a marginal improvement.
My impression is that you can't get a whole lot out of the rears for two reasons. One because you can only mount 5.25's, and two because it's not an ideal mounting location. It was never designed to have speakers installed, so the air space and acustics is all off. The panel's you mount the speakers to are thin and weak, causing a lot of distortion at volume, for me atleast.
Edit: I'm driving the speakers through an Alpine 9833.

Thanks for the input.
The KFC-XR601's were 6.5".
What freq can you run to those Sony XS-V1330A before they distort at volume? I had to cut my kenwoods off at 160Hz so I want something that can handle something lower.
Do these sony's use neodymium magnets? They have a very small mount depth I notice there is a model above, the XS-V1335X that handle a bit more power since i have 75W rms available.
This is good I have some options, anyone else?

I had 4" speakers from lucid driven by stock radio. When I changed to a four channel amp, I put in Kenwood components in the front, and the stock blue poly 6-1/2 speakers in the rear panels and ran a set of remote tweeters off that connection and mounted them in the headrest, so I could have high and lows at high speeds with the top down.

I have 5.25" Reference Infinity componets in the rear and I like the improvement over just fronts glad I did it but I did have to do a very mild metal trimming for fitment.

I may just end up doing that since I was thinking about those Infinity speakers as well.
I have to pick up a dremel anyhow for the panel.

You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of what you had to trim?

I actually just decided on set of Beyma RF502. They use neodymium magnets and I confirmed from another member they drop right in so I don't need the pic thanks.
I'll post my review after the weekend.
