Quick rear speaker wiring question.
I'm wiring some rear Kenwoods into my 2002 s2k. What wire do I connect into the factory deck? Where to I connect the wires into the blue plug? I'm trying to get this done tonight so I would appreciate a quick answer. Thank you....I'm obviously a wiring rookie.

I would highly recommend you just get Lucid's harness. I did the wiring myself initially just to see if I'd like the rear speaker thing. There are no wires to splice into. You would have to solder wires onto 4 of the terminals in the back of the HU. This is far, far easier said than done. You must feed the wires through the existing harness and this requires "renovating" the stock harness. I was very careful and consider myself to be a bit of a "handy kinda guy". The whole thing worked but it was a "butcher" job and one the solders broke loose within a couple of weeks. I was lucky I didn't destroy the stock harness or ruin the contacts on the back of the HU. Just get Lucid's harness, period.

Not the answers that I was looking for but thanks for the replies. I've got this thing all ready to go aside from the last connection. I thought I could just wire them in without issues. I guess I was wrong.

OK, now that I'm home and looking in the Helm manual, I'll assist you in your "nightmare" .
When you pull out the wiring harness, you will see that the 4 holes in the middle (2 on top row, 2 on bottom row) have no wires coming out of the them. If you look at the corresponding pins on the back of the HU, these are the ones for the second set of speaker outputs. The 2 on the top row are the (+) and the two on the bottom are the (-). The two toward the "left" side of the car are for the "right" channel and the two toward the "right" side of the car are for the "left" channel.
There are 20 pins, numbered from the top left (looking at the front of the HU) to right (1-10), then continued to the second row, left to right (11-20). The ones you want are:
5+ and 15- .......... these are the right speaker.
6+ and 16- .......... these are the left speaker.
Good Luck!

Thanks for taking the time to send me the info. Now I, along with many others, can try to do something that I probably know that I shouldn't attempt.
