put in RSX sub
Well, I put one in that I got from a member for $50.
I opened up the amp and turned the gain (i think that's what it is) all the way up. It's not too noticable on many songs, but on songs with a good amount of low bass, the difference is very noticeable. I had a 12" sub in my integra, but I couldn't use it due to space. while it isn't as boomy as the 12", this definitely did the trick. Next thing I do is probably put some dynamat on the doors.
System:
Sony CDX-MP450 (first sony MP3 unit)
Pioneer 6.5" components up front
Polk EX352 5.25" in back
RSX sub attached to preouts
I wired up some RCA leads and some quick connect fittings for the +12V and ground. I used the ignition lead that powers the radio and it works fine. The sub says "100W" but the amp is so small that I doubt it pulls more than 5A continuously. I've got 4 things on the lead (Delphi XM-FM modulator, Sony DCI, RSX sub, head unit) and it hasn't blown a fuse.
i was worried on whether the tire/sub would move around due to the tie down bolt being too short, but with the sub, the spare tire fits very snugly.
