Proximity Sensor and honda alarm?
I would like to get the Honda alarm for my S2k (incoming, only a few more days) but i would really like to have a proximity sensor. I know there is an optional hood pin, is it possible to connect the proximity sensor into the input it would normally use? I'm not sure what the proximity sensors do when triggered (ground out, etc) so the use of a relay might be required. Its either this or I'm just gonna go for a Viper (the alarm, not the car).

Ok, I had posted about 2 years ago on my custom install of the prox. sensor with the factory alarm. You can get a sensor for about $40 and use the hood pin as the trigger. The hood pin plug is right next the fuse box with a bunch of wires wrap together. You can find it in the Alarm installation manual. Then get the power and ground right at the fuse box. I put the sensor in the middle behind the stereo. It works perfectly except I would like a warning "beep", well, I guess getting a aftermarket alarm would get that.
I forgot where did I ordered the sensor, but I think you can do a search in Yahoo and it should come up.
