I've been having problems posting and PMing Derrick. The sealed enclosure is mounted to a base board into the tool well.

Is it removable - yes. The sound it factory tuned and carries the premium Polk/Momo badge, so for the money you're not going to get anything that sounds better. If you're looking for a seamless design my 10-12" sub enclosures or the more pricey JL stealhbox is the way to go.

To MY ears the 10" sounds better installed, than a Cadence wildbeast in a custom enclosure (12" sub) - street value of $700-800.

Yes that is completely possible but I highly doubt anyone would pay the extra $ for a base.

It should be installed in the trunk bay -firmly mounted to a base. Yes it does take up trunk space while it's in, but its can be removed quicky when you do need the space. An amp with at least 200 RMS is required for both 10-12" models.

Are there any pictures anywhere with it actually installed? I can visualize where it would go but would like someidea of how much space would be left in the trunk after install.

Could you take the tools out of the well and have the sub sit inside the well, or would that inhibit the sound?

iLikeBeer, check Lucid's website, there are some pics there. I like the idea of it being straight from the factory with the best enclosure size for it, etc... but I'm just concerned about the way it sticks up out of the trunk well. It will be hard to fit even a small suitcase in there with it. I'll have to pack my stuff in Wal-Mart bags and shove 'em where there is room!

Sure is nice looking though!

It's not for everyones tastes of course, it is factory tuned and designed so the bass is exactly how you want it to sound

Lucid I have an Xtant 603 amp. It's a three channel amp with one channel for the sub. It is rated 150watts at 4ohm. The stereo shop where I got my amp told me that I had to get certain subs b/c of some compatibility with some things that I don't know about. Do u know anything about this? I want to get a drop in sub, but don't know which to get. Can u help me?
