The PO had a Viper 5901 alarm installed. The remote (7752v) was dead and I never used it till today.... decided to charged it and try out. Seems to work OK...
On to the issue I am having- the remote start. I push the start button on remote and it attempted to start but car would not stay on. So, I left a key in the ignition and then hit the start button on the remote and it stayed running.
So I figured maybe the PKALL unit needed to be re-programmed. So I found it behind one of the kick panels, unplugged everything, and went thru the steps outlined here 04-07 S2000 PKALL install.
For the life of me I cannot seem to get it to re-program. Now it wont event attempt to start...the ignition comes on, but doesn't even turn over now

The instructions dont seem to click with me- not working, so hope that someone has installed one of these and can help me out. Here's what I am doing and what is happening.

1. hold program button and insert con 1, done. (LED stays lit)
2. insert con 2 (i'm still holding the program button)(LED still lit)
3. insert con 3 (still holding prog button) (LED still lit)
4. says to release button when the LED turns on....problem is its been on since connection 1??
5 then says to press prog button 1 time, led will flash (and it does, but says lit after the flash)
6. then says to press program button 1 more time and it should flash once again (it does flash, but continues to flash)
7. turn key to start position (does this mean turn all the way and hit the start button? or just turn all the way, no button?)
8 led should be flashing 10 times (not happening...still flashing from step 6, no change)


I'm stumpt....thinking its user error....
