Hy
I Have a 2006 UK spec S2000. Apologies if this has been asked before!I have just installed rear speakers into my S2000 using a fitting kit from the USA and attached the four speaker wires to the stock head unit adaptor - there were four cables coming out of it in place for rear speakers even though none were fitted at the factory. However, the rear speakers are dead - not a sign of life. Have checked the connections ( have redone them ) but still nothing. The head unit ( a type A in the Honda manual ) has balance and fade controls. Balance is fine, but the fader just fades the front speakers from a max front +9 to a rear +8 which is very quiet for the front speakers - taking it +9 for the rear fade eliminates all sound and the head unit beeps at this point. Have spent a couple of hours trying to fathom it out but no joy. Question - have I missed something obvious - for instance does the stock head unit have to be set up for 4 speaker operation in its set up menu ( like some do )? If so how do I do it? I have been led to believe that it is just a case of splicing into the rear speaker outputs and set the fader control as required. The rear speakers are Sony Xplod, brand new.
Any help appreciated as now getting frustrated!
thanks
Duncan
