PIONEER Audio Upgrade.Rear Speakers?
I installed a month ago the PIONEER 9400/mp3 with the S2000 adaptor kit & a pair of good front PIONEER speakers, crossover with twiters.
The PIONEER guy (authorized dealer) started with the wiring installation and after my request he passed under the central console wires for rear speakers.
After he listened to the outcome of the stereo & the front speakers he insisted NOT to install rear speakers because they would ''kill'' the sound quality of the front speakers.
I said to him that my will is to have two small woofers at least (instead of speakers) behind the seats but he again insist for not doing this and its totally waste of money.
So now I am stuck with two front speakers & twiters.
The truth is that the sound quality has dramatically improved from stock but I cant understand the reason why not to put two small woofers behind the seats.
Is he right?
Please advise.

It's your car, if he refuses to do as you ask then find another installer!
Adding rear speakers to the stock sound system was my first modification and GREATLY improved my enjoyment of my stereo and allowed me to hear it at highway speeds. A "true audiophile" will argue that you are messing with the sound stage and...bla bla bla. But this is a convertible sports car for Pete's Sake, there's not really such a thing as a sound stage in this car, you just need to be able to hear and enjoy music flowing around you.
Here's instructions if you want to do it yourself You obviously won't need to worry about the parts showing how to hook to the stock stereo, but will give you an idea of what speakers you need and how to add them. Or check out the SPods that a board member has designed that fill in the holes in the roll bar hoops.
Good Luck and have fun with it, Travis

Thanks tkeedy for your help.
I really believe that since the wiring is already there and the cost of 5,25'' speakers is not high I should proceed with this.
If the sound becomes worse (which I find impossibe) I will simply adjust the stereo into front speaker mode play and forget the rear.
