you actually don't have to remove the stock radio, i have an adapter, there are units out there for this specific function, just gotta look a bit harder...

Thanks for the response guys, but this adapter costs $140, while a deck with aux input and hd radio cost $110

I am just not sure how to remove the stock unit, and would I have any problems with the alarm system? Also, do I have to disconnect the battery before installing? Because I think if I disconnect the battery, I'll have to enter some security code again, but can entering the code be done through a new deck?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. I just want to get on one of those thxgiving deals for a deck, but I want to make sure I can install it before buying it.

The SOS unit takes 60 seconds to install. Your 07 is pre-trunk wired from the factory.

If you buy an aftermarket HU, it likely will not work with the dash controls without an adaptor (that you can buy from Crutchfield if you're ordering a HU from there). I did that on my 02, but I can tell you that it was easier to buy the SOS adapter for my 08.

alright I am gonna order that head unit from crutchfield then. it's no biggie for me if the dash controls don't work. the car is so tight the face plate is right within reach anyways. i'll post back when i get it installed!
