DEI 611T is the timed relay that I used. This will work to keep them on for the 30-60 seconds after the car is turned off. You will have to wire power from the ignition/accessory if you want them on when the car is on. With another relay, you may be able to trigger the timed relay to continue keeping the LED on, but you'd definitely have to diode isolate to prevent feedback.

I used something similar to this from advanced auto to light the footing area.. Two 2.5 watt bulbs are plenty to light it up if anyone wants to do the same. I have mine wired to my headlights.

These should be wired to the overhead lights for it to work properly. You can also jump on the door latch circuit. Only takes about 2 hours to install these. Its very easy to do. I did this to my car back in 2003. I was in the doors anyway so I just added them in. Its very simple to do.

im not too familiar with electronics myself and would like some guidance as to whether you only need to wire in LED's, along with what route to take to wire it to the dome lights.
