No Bass :(
I have the following system:
Speakers:
JL Audio 8Wv3 Sub in a Wlaurent box
Boston Acoustic Pro 5.2
Boston Acoustic Pro 4.2 (in S-pods)
And just recently upgraded my Alpine deck and Fosgate Amp to the following setup:
Alpine iDA-x305s
Alpine PDX-5
My question is this....my sub sounds like its getting very little signal from the amp. I have maxed the gain and played with the subwoofer attenuation in the deck but still it doesn't have the same punch it did when I had it hooked up to a Fosgate amp.
Its almost like there is a defeat switch in that the low frequencies aren't finding their way to the amp and subsequently to the sub.
Any thoughts?

Did check to make sure the amp and sub are wire correctly to work together? 2ohm vs. 4ohm? Also did you program the new amp and the deck in the menu options?
Im sure it has to be a simple fix. I have a set of 3 ways in the doors, 5.25 rears behind the seats and an Alpine type-r 12" in a sealed box on that same amp... and its so loud you need ear plugs.
