Newbie question
Okay so I don't know that much about car audio besides what I read lurking here. I was wondering . . .
I just ordered a new HU - alpine 9813 and some new front speakers - CBT's. Is it possible to send the power from both left channels (F+R) to left front speaker and both right channels to right front speaker? Does this get you twice the power? Does it fry something? Anyone know?

You don't want to be doing that - you can't bridge line outs from a head unit like you can bridge a 4 channel amp to 2 channels. I think it's something to do with the load (??).

High-power head units are already bridged - that's how they can break the 4 watt limit that typical factory head units have.
So the answer is NO, you can't "bridge" them again.
It would be possible to parallel them so you can drive a 2-ohm load, but you'd be better off adding another set of 4-ohm speakers and keeping the channels separate. The additional drivers will give you more output (louder) with the same power.
