New Rear Speakers
This is just an FYI for anyone considering getting these installed. I thought seriously about getting the lucid rear speakers and panels but after I ran it by my installer he claimed he could do the same thing with the existing panels for less money. He is a pro who installed my new head unit, speakers, tweeters sub and amp. He was able to install 5.25" Boston Acoustics (Premium speakers) which is what I have in the doors and the tweeters. These speakers only hang below the panel about 1/4" and also allow you to maintain the 2 hooks on either side of the panels. They only protrude 3/8" out from the panel so you can put the seat all the way back without any interference. They sound fantastic and are the perfect compliment to the rest of the system. They make a huge difference and the installed cost was $199.00 which is less than the lucid set up which is $315 plus S & H) If you have a good installer it can be done with ease. Took mine about 2 hours as the panels were easy to remove and the cutting was simple. Just thought I would pass this along to offer some options in doing this set-up.

Hey Ray! I'll take a pic next time we meet up and post it up for you. BTW I'm in Florida now getting ready to go to the beach. I heard of your misfortune while down here last month I hope Pat is feeling better.

Charlie, Thanks for the offer, I'll take you up on it when you return. Hope your trip is better than mine was, but Pat is getting better. Will be ordering the clear side lights from Rick so maybe we can do them and the pix.

Here are some pics of mine. I had Circuit City do them. While I am in NO position to question Lucid's rear panels, these here are working very well for me. . .

Sounds like a nice setup. I recently (3 days ago) installed Lucid's rear speakers and I'm thrilled with them. Same thing with Lucid's speakers...can put the seat all the way back, still keep the hook things, excellent sound, and cost me just under $200. Best of all, I installed them myself, which in and of itself is an absolute miracle
I agree that an installer with the right tools and know-how should be able to do this relatively easy, but for those of us without a clue, who don't know an installer we can trust, Lucid's solution is perfect.
One question....are you able to Mute the rear speakers?

Hmm, did mine myself and it only cost me the price of the speakers.. now that is a real money saver..
If any of you have a dremel tool, it takes less than 5 minutes to do this mod. I highly recommend doing it yourself.
