New Alpine System
I am planning a new system based on Alpine components (only because I don't have many opportunities to demo other systems).
I have decided on, at least, the following:
Head Unit: IDA-X303
Subwoofer: SWE-1043 (1 - 10-inch)
Speakers: SPS-600C
I only plan on replacing the front speakers and have no plans on adding rear speakers. I don't have experience in shopping for audio components, but I figured I might as well learn. So my questions are:
1. Would I benefit, in terms of sound quality, from a setup of a 2-channel amp (PDX-2.150) dedicated to the front speakers and a dedicated mono-amp (MRP-M500) for the sub over a 4-channel amp (PDX-4.100) with bridged connections?
2. If yes, should I be worried about the power requirements needed for this setup?
Any suggestions on top of what I have considered would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Since the subwoofer isn't too powerful I don't think you will have any problems with power as I used to run a lot higher power loads (2 amps) on a single battery and never had any issues...
I think the main issue with the 4 channel with bridged would be EQ'n the sounds for the subwoofer and speakers separately whereas 2 amplifiers may give you an easier time... I am just in the market for purchasing some Alpine stuff too and looking at the type-R subs and going to just install one of those first before thinking of adding an amplifier for the fronts as I am not sure what the balance is going to be like... might be surprised...

I have a slightly more extreme setup with a 4-channel running the fronts and a JL 250/1 running the SWS 1043, see my sig for details.
If I were you, I'd go for simplicity and get a 4.100 and run it bridged for the sub.
