Need stereo advice...

OK after doing some more research, here's a revised component list:
Pioneer DEH-P9300 Head Unit
Rockford Fosgate Punch 800.4 Amp
Infinity KAPPA PERFECT 6.1 6-1/2" Component Speakers
Infinity KAPPA 42.3I 4" Two-Way Speakers + Lucid Rear Panel Speaker Kit
Rockford Fosgate Punch 800.2 Amp
Eclipse 88120TiDVC 12" Subwoofer
My only question now is the amps; should I go with RF Amps or something else? What do you guys recommend would work best wth this setup? Some of you suggested that RF is only for SPL? Sorry for my ignorance, but I'm not exactly sure what that means... So if someone could explain that it would help. Thanks.

SPL competition audio systems focus on the amount of bass you can make, not the actual quality. What I was saying is RF amps put out A LOT of power for the price. But the quality is not up to par with most others. As far as quality goes, I would go with MTX. Shouldn't be a whole lot more expensive, and much better sounding. I put in a couple of MTX amps in my S.
Now there are others that are even better, but they get real pricey real fast. Phoenix Gold amps are nice, as well as PPI. But for the money, I like the MTX. One of the big stories is that a few years ago MTX got all the RF engineers to come over and work for them. Thats when MTX really started picking up in quality.
I would suggest going to a small stereo shops instead of chains to do some searching.

High SPL is produced by moving more air. For example 150 W amp driving a single 10" sub (4 ohms) will not have the same SPL as the same amp driving 4 10" subs connected to still have 4 ohms (2 subs in series, then put the 2 sets in parallel = 4 ohms).
RF amps are great for competition because you can load them down...they can go drive low loads and they sound great. Two RFs are going into my S.
If I had to give you one piece of advice is go with a deck that is pre out only...you will notice a difference, if you care because you will be in a convertible.
