Need some help on sub choice
#1
Have a new JL300/4 on the way and want to add a sub to the rear channels bridged. There is a group buy for a stealthbox for $425-450 but still need to mount the amp...probably in the tire well. I was thinking about trying to build one myself (ala old bingo box), but it got complicated quickly. Today, I found a q-logic box for $70...it is the truck model.
the box sticks up a bit, but otherwise fills out the trunk well.....has anyone used this box? I am probably going to buy a JL 10W3....any experience with this combo. Any guesses how it would compare to the stealthbox? I see alot of the stealthbox buyers "upgrading"...Is this because of sub performace or how it looks in the trunk? Decisions, Decisions....any other suggestions...anyone willing to share their custom box dimesions for a 10"...need ~.65 cuft.

I put 2 8'S in my trunk - minimal loss of trunk space and no relocation of tools or spare.

1 - 8" does really good for most peoples taste. 2 - really bump.

The Q-boxs are fine. I used one for a little while last year. They allow you to disconnect and remove it when you need the space and they're inexpensive.
As for a sub, a good driver alone can cost over $400. If you're doing 400w or less you'll be ok with an inexpensive q-box, sub and small amp.
